Moon of the Blackberry

Summary:
In 2021, CSSP started a collaboration with the Swinomish people by creating a video series corresponding to the 13 Moons curriculum, offering a video for each moon.
Cultural Narrative:

Much of July is the Moon of the Blackberry. Many berries are now ripe, including blackberries. Around this time, the sap and cedar trees stops running, signaling the time to harvest the bark. Additionally, Sockeye salmon fishing is reaching its peak. Every second year during this moon, humpback salmon start running and continue into the next two moons.
